FIRE ALARM FOR CARNEGIE SCIENCE CENTER
Final project for Products II Studio. Explored the boundaries of a fire alarm design for a science museum and fabricated a gray model with interaction capabilities and created multiple renderings of what the alarm would look like in its given environment. An exploration on the communication of form semantics to interaction. Considered context of the alarm within the museum and the situation of emergency.
Gray form is made from 3D printed material, laser cut acrylic rail system, and three double reed switches as well as a series of electronics.
