M O N O L I G H T S

soft sculpture: M O N O L I G H T S

Working in a team of four, we developed a concept for a series of inflatables for a joint concert between our inflatables class and Exploded Ensemble, an exploratory music band within CMU.

When the audience walks through the door, half of the column is made from black-out fabric and only the tops with light shining through is visible. On the opposite side of the room, the white, bulbous excess fabric with light shining through is interactive and treats the journey through the columns as a journey with new findings.
